It is with heavy heart that I write to advise that Neil Drummond passed away suddenly on August 17th. Neil was a true Gentleman and a good friend to so many individuals and the Society. Neil had a love for growing vegetables and everything to do with the NVS, which culminated in him receiving his NVS Gold medal in 2017.

Neil was an NVS Judge and gave numerous talks throughout Scotland, including the Hebrides and Shetland Isles.  Neil also grew veg to support displays and plant sales. Neil was a Scottish branch Committee member for many years, he was instrumental in setting up the North of Scotland DA and was their inaugural Chairman.  So many of our members will know Neil as having been our special Master of Ceremonies at the annual Seminar for the last 15 years (after he took over from George McSkimming back in 2004).

Neil was a lovely man and we will miss him dearly.  Our Thoughts are with his Wife Helen, and their family at this incredibly difficult time.
