WELSH BRANCH CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009

The 2009 championships took place on the 12th and 13th September in the grounds of the National Botanical gardens of Wales near Carmarthen.

This turned out to be an exceptional venue and the weather was very kind to us as well. The management and staff of the gardens were extremely helpful with nothing too much trouble for them and we would like to thank them for their co-operation.

The event was sponsored by the garden as well as a number of local firms and the seed firm D T Brown and we are indebted to them for their support. Even though the entries were slightly down on the previous year the standard of vegetables on show were as good if not better than usual and we would like to thank the exhibitors for their efforts since without them there would be no show.
