National Championships & AGM
Dundee Flower and Food Festival are delighted to host the 50th Anniversary of the National Vegetable Society including the National Championships, Inter-Branch and International Competition and the Annual General Meeting.
In addition to the normal vegetable section, there will be over 25 classes showcasing the finest vegetable growers in the UK. The inter-branch and international displays of vegetables and herbs from Jersey to Northern Island and from Southern England to Scotland should prove particularly interesting with members.
Annual General Meeting
The AGM will be held on Friday 3rd September 2010 at 4pm in the Events Marquee along with the presentation of trophies and the society's awards.
Other Events
As well as the NVS National Championship, within the show ground there will be a number of events including a variety of modern and traditional music, drawn locally and from further afield.
The events marquee will also host cookery demonstrations by the TV celebrity duo "The Hairy Bikers", floral art demonstrations and there will be advice available from National Vegetable Society experts.
The large number of trade stands in the food festival marquee are offering tastings and selling high quality local, regional and national produce.
Among the many activities are the finals of the ever popular "Desperate Dan-wich" children's healthy eating competition and the chance to taste Iain Spink's award winning original Arbroath Smokies as they are traditionally cooked.

- 11.00 – 18.00 hrs on Friday 3rd September
- 10.00 – 18.00 hrs on Saturday 4th September
- 10.00 – 17.30 hrs on Sunday 5th September
