Annual General Meeting 2011 Report
There were a number of changes to positions within the National Executive Committee and, of course, a number of awards presented to members.
Change of positions within National Executive Committee
Medwyn Williams MBE, FNVS retired from the position of Chairman following 12 years of service to the NVS at the National AGM held in Llangollen on 27 August. Medwyn takes on the role of NVS President so will remain in touch with the Society at the highest level.
He is succeeded by Barry Newman FNVS who was voted in at the AGM over fellow NEC member Denis Barry by a margin of 77 votes to 44 by members attending.
Another retirement at the AGM was Peter Cranfield FNVS from the position of Ntaional Assistant Secretary, the new National Assistant Secretary is Mark Hall FNVS from the Midlands Branch.
